Club History

St Ives Hockey Club was established in 1997, after the merging of St Ives Ladies HC to Huntingdon & District Men's HC.

Since this merger, we have developed into a thriving club based in the market town of St Ives, Cambridgeshire and offer the opportunity for all members of the community to play hockey regardless of age, ability, experience or social background.

We have 9 senior teams playing in leagues across the east of England, and junior fixtures for various age groups up to U14

Despite being surround by larger cities/towns, we have always strived to play excellent hockey and encourage our local community to participate in a sport we all love.

Our club ethos is to create an environment that feels like a family, supporting and encouraging people, no matter their background or ability.

Hockey is such an inclusive sport and if you would like to be part of our hockey family then get in touch by contacting the appropriate section ( link) or join a training night.

The Junior Section of St. Ives Hockey Club is a thriving organisation. Beginning with a few enthusiastic parents working with children on Monday evenings back in the 1990s, it has now grown in stature with over 120 members aged from 3 to 14 years, as well as a dedicated team of coaches, assistants and parents. St. Ives Junior Section now play a vital role in the running of the club and is a vital part of keeping St. Ives HC at the top of the game by us coaching our own young players to the best of their ability so that can develop and feature in the first team we have today.
