St Ives played their penultimate game of the season against a very youthful Spalding.
St Ives started well and it was Barry Wickson who opened the goals. Great play from the youngsters of Luke, Max, Jack, Josh and Owen continued the pressure on Spalding with further opportunities being created. A penalty stroke was awarded to St Ives which Richard Kellett took but was saved. Despite this St Ives were able to add to the score line with goals from Josh, Richard and Max.
Further goals in the second half from Max and two from Luke made it a comfortable 7-0 win. Good defending from St Ives meant there was very little for the St Ives keeper to do.
St Ives go to Kettering next week for their final game on a high, looking to finish the season with a good game.
