Ladies 3 vs Cambridge Nomads 2

At Wilberforce Road, a hockey match began,

Away at Cambridge, we rallied as a clan.

The weather stayed dry, spirits high in the air,

We were ready and raring, our hearts full of flair.

In warm-up, Nicky twirled, a ballet delight,

Graceful and poised, she set the stage right.

Tracy, determined, had words with the ump,

In the first half, we played, ready to jump.

As a team we excelled, moving swift on the field,

Lucy found joy, her laughter revealed.

From short corners we struck, Nicky close to three,

Cracking goals nearly scored, what a sight to see!

At half-time we gathered, our spirits renewed,

With a chat and a cheer, our confidence brewed.

In the second half, we soared to new heights,

Loving those corners, we embraced the fights.

After seven attempts, Elaine found the net,

With a beautiful finish, our joy was a threat.

Mands danced in triumph, her moves pure delight,

The crowd cheered her on, what a glorious sight!

Final score 4-1, with two from each star,

Nicky and Elaine, our shining avatars.

We look forward to next week, united and strong,

Well played, team spirit—together we belong!
