Welcome back Aaron :)
Saturday 31st started with everyone getting there spirit animals for the lineup. Sadly there was no snake for our friend that we had welcomed back.
The match started with a St Neots pushback and St Ives set the pressure straight away with Leo stealing the ball and attacking the goal in the first 2 minutes. Sadly this didn’t result in an Ives goal. Around 15 minutes later though our best friend went 1 on 1 with Alex in goal, with an amazing take down from Alex this awarded in a penalty flick. The result of this was a spectacular stick save from him. This didn’t lead to questions however of whether he just took Aaron down so that he could be the hero.
With 2 minutes left of the first half Ives conceded another consecutive penalty corner which sadly resulted in a very scrappy second goal. So as we went into halftime the score was 0-1. With a very motivational speech from Matt Jago at halftime we went into the second half with our heads held high.
However in the second half we were to go down 0-2 after another scrappy short corner. This was the case for our best friend to start talking even though he was not the one who had scored. This then caused Jack Maltby’s head to ‘go to Mars’ as Josh said after the game. With 7 minutes before the end of the game William Jago made another disgusting tackle which caused a green to be issued to him and got him Dick of the Day. However a good nomination began within the last 5 minutes when Isaac’s shoe fell of and then 2 minutes later the same show fell off again which causes me to think that he cannot tie his shoelaces:) .
