St Ives made a very good start to the game against March with strong attacks coming from the right hand side of the pitch. It was Jack Maltby who set up the first goal for St Ives with a cheeky lob of the goalkeeper to set up Jack Benham to calmly finish. Jack Maltby later added to the scoresheet himself and with a further goal from Rob Brand, St Ives went in to half time with a comfortable 3 nil lead.
The second half saw things open up for both teams and it was March half way through who managed to get on the scoresheet. Despite continued pressure from St Ives they were unable to add to the goals from the first half. A good defensive performance from St Ives kept the young attacking March players at bay for the remainder of the game.
A good all round performance from St Ives which sees them now lift off the bottom two of the league.
